Meet Our Trainers Background & Experience: Mike has 24 years of experience in the oil and gas industry of which 16 years has been managing high-pressure pipelines. His areas of expertise are in developing safe work systems and training, providing strategic planning and operations support to field staff, and ensuring operations and maintenance functions are undertaken safely and in compliance. For further information on Mike click Mike Lyle Background and Experience: Chris Hughes has 35 years experience in engineering with the last 23 years specialising in oil and gas pipelines. Chris’ extensive experience includes pipeline and facilities engineering with expertise from design, through construction and commissioning. His facilities experience includes inlet/outlet metering stations, compressor and scraper stations. Background and Experience: Brett has 14 years experience as a pipeline patroller, covering all field aspects of maintaining high pressure gas and oil pipelines, facilities and easements, including commissioning, cathodic protection, intelligent pigging, and emergency repairs. Background and Experience: Rod’s areas of expertise include: negotiation, presentation and communication with diverse stakeholders and Government bodies, conflict dispute resolution, practices and procedures relating to the registration of interests under the relevant Acts, development of business processes and systems to incorporate planning and management of projects and business, team management, development and training. Background and Experience: Michael's areas of expertise include asset management for the safe and efficient delivery of contracted services, sound knowledge of AS 2885 and related standards, HAZOP- HAZID- and Risk Assessment processes, project management, management of operations and maintenance personnel, commissioning support, detailed design and pipeline modelling and coordination of work groups including engineering, financial, regulatory and OH&S for successful project implementation. Background and Experience Peter (Peter Tuft & Associates) has 30 years experience in engineering of pipeline systems for natural gas, oil, water and slurries. In recent years particular emphasis has been given to pipeline risk assessment. Peter currently provides specialist technical expertise to the pipeline industry at a detail level and an overview level (risk assessment, design reviews, technical audits, supervision). Background & Experience
Glenn holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry, University of Manitoba and a M.Sc. in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Alberta. He is a Senior Pipeline Engineering Specialist with the National Energy Board, Calgary, Alberta. His responsibilities include development and implementation of compliance strategies for the NEB regulated pipeline companies.
Glenn has over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry specializing in developing and implementing pipeline integrity management programs, performing risk assessments and implementing corrosion monitoring, inspection and mitigation programs.
